What's covered

Every genuine HARTES METAL® wheel sold in the United States comes with the Hartes Metal Limited Warranty, given by INOVIT Inc., 5120 Commerce Drive, Baldwin Park, CA 91706.

Who is covered. The original retail buyer of new wheels bought from us or from an authorized Hartes Metal dealer in the United States. The warranty cannot be transferred to a later owner.

Structure. The wheel is warranted against structural failure caused by a defect in materials or workmanship for as long as the original buyer owns the wheels.

Finish. The original finish is warranted against peeling, blistering and fading caused by a defect in the finish for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Register and get another 12 months. Register your wheels on hartesmetal.com within 30 days of buying them and the finish warranty runs a further 12 months. Registration is never needed for the standard warranty above. It only adds the extension. You need proof of purchase and the product details, including the model and serial number. If you cannot register online, email sales@inovit.com with the same details within the 30 days.

What we will do. If we confirm a defect covered by this warranty, we will repair or replace the wheel, at our choice. If repair or replacement is not possible, for example because the model has been discontinued, we will offer a comparable wheel or refund the price you paid for it.

What we ask of you. Inspect the wheels before the tires go on. Have them installed by a qualified installer, torqued to the vehicle maker's specification, and re-torqued after the first 50 miles. Clean them with mild soap and water.

What is not covered. Road hazard damage, such as from potholes, curbs and debris; there is no road hazard warranty. Damage from incorrect fitment, installation or torque, or from the wrong lug hardware. Cosmetic damage after installation, including scratches, chips and tire-machine marks. Damage from acid-based, abrasive or alkaline cleaners, or from road salt and de-icing chemicals. Normal wear, and misuse, racing, off-road impact, accidents or modification, including refinishing or repair by anyone other than us. Wheels used on a vehicle they were not designed for, or above their rated load.

Making a claim. Start with the dealer who sold you the wheels, or contact us if you bought them on hartesmetal.com. Have your proof of purchase ready and send photos of the problem. We may ask for the wheel back to inspect it. Shipping and handling are not included: you pay to send the wheel to us and to have the repaired or replacement wheel shipped back. We aim to decide a claim within 30 days of receiving the wheel.

// Terms

The legal part

This warranty covers the wheel itself. It does not cover the cost of mounting, balancing, tires, labor, towing, rental vehicles, lost time or other costs.

Any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited to the duration of this written warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

We are not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

You do not need to use any particular brand of cleaning product, or have the wheels serviced by any particular shop, to keep this warranty. Coverage only excludes damage actually caused by the things listed above.
